Tower One constructing new sites across Latin America

Tower One Wireless has stated that it has 75 new cell sites under construction across Latin America.

As reported by CommsUpdate, the sites will be spread across the Canadian group’s three largest markets of Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. Tower One Wireless operates more than 2000 cell sites across its footprint, which is largely focused on Latin America.

In its latest Construction Update, the firm stated that Colombia’s WOM had signed 30-year leases for some of its new rural towers, as well as 10-year leases covering its new urban infrastructure sites. The infrastructure was deployed during December 2020.

Alex Ochoa, Tower One’s CEO, said: “One of my top priorities during the difficult past year has been to refocus our attention into our core markets, where we can leverage on our established platform to operate efficiently. We have started to make some strides in that direction thanks to our team who was able to respond to the unique market situations in their regions and helped to address our customers’ needs.”
