Indonesian digital telco Indosat Ooredoo has deployed Ericsson's Operations Engine (EOE) framework, incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to monitor and tune network parameters to upgrade its 4G radio network.
Implementation of the EOE framework is part of Indosat Ooredoo’s ongoing digitalization of its network and IT operations and will enhance network resilience, automated monitoring, auto network healing, and improve Time-To-Market, said a press release from the telecommunications provider in Indonesia.
Digitalization has helped Indosat Ooredoo to achieve one of the best response times in the industry for service delivery for enterprise customers.
"Early deployment of the EOE solution has enabled Indosat Ooredoo to achieve a market-leading position on delivering the best data experience for its customers," it claimed.
The EOE set of solutions will also help to further Indosat Ooredoo’s commitment to sustainable business practices and efficiency by applying its AI/ML-driven Energy Infrastructure Operations to optimize energy consumption across its network.
The deployment of AI-based Cognitive Optimization has led to step improvement in spectrum efficiency for better asset utilization, ensuring customers continue to receive world-class service while delivering greater value to Indosat Ooredoo shareholders.
Additionally, Indosat will leverage Ericsson’s latest IT operations capabilities to improve Time-To-Market of new offerings, leverage the latest Automation use cases for BSS Operations, and improve customer experience.
