Russian telecommunications services provider MCN Telecom has started providing mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services in three new regions in the cities of Kursk, Ulyanovsk, and in Ulan-Ude in the Republic of Buryatia.
MVNO services from MCN Telecom are now up and running in 33 regions across the country. By the end of this year, MCN Telecom plans to start MVNO services in thirteen more regions, namely Belgorod, Vladimir, Vladivostok, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Penza, Smolensk, Surgut, Tambov, Tula, Tver, and Cheboksary.
According to a press release from the virtual mobile operator for business and private clients said that the Federal Communications Agency (Mintsifry) allocated MCN Telecom a numbering resource in the amount of more than 50 thousand mobile numbers in numbering codes: DEF = 993, DEF = 958, DEF = 931, DEF = 995.
The total numbering capacity of the telecom operator is more than 65000 mobile numbers, 350000 fixed numbers in Russia, 50000 geographic and nomadic numbers in the countries of presence in Europe.
For the convenience of subscribers, including those wishing to use MCN Telecom communications abroad, the mobile application for Android devices has been significantly improved over the past few months, the release said.
“Now MCN Telecom subscribers can receive SIP calls on their mobile devices and while traveling around the world.
According to the company, all incoming SIP calls are free, and outgoing calls are calculated without a location surcharge, that is, they turn out to be several times cheaper. We are currently preparing to launch a beta version of the mobile application for users of devices with the iOS operating system, which is now available in a test version in the Testflight application. In the near future we plan to open access to everyone, ”said Alexander Melnikov, CEO of MCN Telecom.
