Telenor Serbia intros Hipernet

Serbian mobile network operator Telenor Serbia has entered the fixed market with the launch of its Hipernet, a new household service that includes optical internet, digital television service.

"With the launch of a complete portfolio of fixed services, Telenor presented an integrated offer of telecommunications services for existing and new customers in Serbia," the operator said in a press note.

Hypernet will bring households in Serbia the strongest Wi-Fi signal in every corner of the home. The offering combines home broadband at up to 250/125 Mbps with whole-home Wi-Fi coverage, digital TV (138 TV channels, plus the HBO Go, Deezer, and YouTube apps), and fixed telephony services.

Local press quoted GM of Telenor Serbia Majk Misel as saying: "We believe in this market and that is why we have invested significant funds in Hipernet, our most ambitious project so far. We are not only launching a new service, but we are also presenting a new, qualitatively different offer that includes the best internet and digital television for the entire household."

"Our goal is to provide customers with a new experience, in line with industry best practices. Our focus is and will be on the constant development of mobile and fixed services, as well as the expansion of the portfolio with new functionalities and relevant choice of media content," he added.
