Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison strengthens collaborations at MWC

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, the leading Indonesian service provider, has been looking back on a busy MWC 2022 in which, it says, it has succeeded in strengthening its collaborations with strategic partners, including Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia.

The strategic partnership between Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Cisco involves collaboration on developing next-generation connectivity solutions in a cloud-first SASE architecture, where IOH has delivered innovative software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) solutions, powered by Cisco, to businesses of all sizes to help them connect seamlessly in any cloud environment and optimize operational performance.

On the 5G services side, IOH and Ericsson have strengthened their strategic partnership to further expand 5G network services across Indonesia, including in the Jabodetabek area (Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi).

Through this collaboration, IOH and Ericsson are working together to provide a totally sustainable network within Indonesia by reducing the energy consumption of mobile services without impacting performance, using Ericsson’s Radio 6626 technology.

In addition, IOH has strengthened its strategic partnership with Nokia to deploy and expand both 4G and 5G networks across Indonesia, covering an area of 1.4 million square kilometres, including Sumatera Island, Kalimantan Island, Central Java and Surabaya city, with Nokia’s AirScale technology.

The partnership will enable IOH to address market requirements, improve throughput and customer experience, both indoor and outdoor, and prepare the network for early 5G deployments. This will also allow IOH to keep costs to a minimum while improving the quality of its services.

On the other sidelines of the 2022 Mobile World Conference, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Huawei have signed a strategic project partnership for the acceleration of radio access network (RAN) integration, in order to scale up digital experience for customers and simultaneously generate cost-saving outcomes, powered by Huawei’s latest 4G and 5G technologies.
