Orange bolsters MEA leadership to maintain growth regions

Orange Group CEO Christel Heydemann has appointed new heads in key B2B Africa and Middle East units, to capitalise on growth in the regions, which have spurred positive financials in recent quarters for the operator.

Aliette Mousnier-Lompré was immediately appointed CEO of Orange Business Services following an interim period after the departure of Helmut Reisinger in January. She joins the group’s executive committee.

Orange Middle East and Africa will be led by CEO Jerome Henique from July 1. He is currently director of operations and deputy CEO of the group’s regional subsidiary which encompasses 18 countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Africa and the Middle East is currently one of Orange Group’s “major growth engines” having demonstrated it in back to back quarters.

In a statement, Heydemann said: “The changes announced today reflect the priorities for the next few months on which we must now accelerate.

“The B2B sector, as well as the Africa and Middle East segment, are two key markets for Orange. The successful transformation and development of our operations in these sectors will enable us to ensure sustainable growth going forward.”
