Indian IT services provider Tech Mahindra has signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysian telecoms conglomerate Axiata Berhad to co-develop 5G enterprise solutions across five Asian countries.
The companies will come together to develop 5G solutions for manufacturing, oil & gas, smart cities & services, and other industries in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Cambodia.
Under this partnership, Tech Mahindra will provide its 5G enterprise solutions capabilities and system integrator (SI) capabilities as well as its expertise in deploying private networks while using Axiata’s network infrastructures, products and services.
The partners claim that the use cases and solutions developed will make enterprises future-ready for 5G by unlocking new revenue streams and eliminating inefficiencies.
Quoted in a number of Indian media outlets, Rajesh Chandiramani, Business Head, Communications-Media-Entertainment for EMEA and APJI Markets, Tech Mahindra, said the company has created over 100 ‘5G For Enterprise (5G4E)’ industry solutions across all sectors.
He added: “Tech Mahindra’s 5G4E solutions, coupled with Axiata’s leading communication 5G connected services and their focus on digital telco, digital business, and digital infrastructure, will help us extend our 5G services portfolios to deliver tangible business value to customers across APJI markets and help digitize enterprises across verticals.”
