Multinational networking and telecommunications company Ericsson and technology company Intel have said they will collaborate on the development of 5G use cases that can accelerate the digitalisation of enterprises to support the Thailand 4.0 vision.
Intel and Ericsson say they will collaborate on their respective technology expertise to show how communications service providers (CSPs) can accelerate 5G adoption and expand their business-to-business (B2B) engagements based on 5G use cases.
Among the areas identified for collaboration are the joint development of enterprise use cases in select verticals such as manufacturing, transport and logistics. In addition, the partnership will involve showcasing the role 5G connectivity can play in building sustainable and resilient digital economies.
Both Ericsson and Intel say they are committed to enabling the Thailand 4.0 vision through 5G technology. The Thailand 4.0 initiative is described as a new economic model based on innovation, creativity, high-quality services and new technology employed for boosting the quality of life.
