Robi Axiata’s new Axentec digital services unit goes live

Robi Axiata’s new digital services subsidiary Axentec PLC officially opened for business on Monday, offering high-tech digital solutions and services for both the Bangladesh and global market.

Axentec aims to establish itself as a one-stop IT solutions and services provider for corporate and SME businesses by leveraging Robi's connectivity business to create ready-made and customized ICT-based business solutions.

Axentec is a spinoff from Robi’s ICT services subsidiary Reddot Digital. Robi Axiata revealed in a stock exchange filing in July 2023 that Reddot would continue develop and operate IT and ICT software, applications, and related solutions, while “Axentec PLC” will handle “sales, distribution and marketing services for connectivity, IT & ICT solutions, digital services, software, applications and hardware, including data center, cloud and cloud infrastructure, IoT [and] cyber security.”

Robi said at the time the arrangement would result in more focused subsidiaries to better serve customers.

On Monday, Axentec said its solutions portfolio covers a wide range, from cloud and data centre services to AI, data analytics, blockchain, cyber security, ERP solutions, workplace solutions and IoT.

Axentec added the solutions can help streamline business operations, boost productivity, and enhance communication via mobile devices. That includes mobile apps for project management, CRM software, mobile payment systems, ERP platforms, and customized cybersecurity applications.

Axentec also officially launched ROBI Cloud services, which offers “robust security measures, backup, disaster recovery options, and real-time collaboration capabilities” on a pay-as-you-go model.

Axentec CEO and MD Adil Hossain Noble – who was appointed to the position last month – said that the company is positioning itself as a catalyst for “business agility and future readiness” for clients.

“The company's core ambition revolves around creating flawless connectivity through innovation,” he said in a statement. “Data centre solutions plays a pivotal role in fostering this connectivity and innovation-emphasizing on reliability, security, and scalability to ensure seamless operations for corporate and SME clients.”
