Pakistan GPS tracking and IoT services provider TPL Trakker has renewed a partnership deal with state-controlled telco PTCL Group, under which the telco will continue to provide machine to machine (M2M) and ICT services.
TPL Trakker provides GPS, GSM and satellite mobile asset tracking management and information solutions in Pakistan. Under the renewal agreement, PTCL Group Business Solutions will continue to provide wireless connectivity and a host of bundled services to TPL Trakker to power the company’s IoT services, including vehicle tracking and performance management.
TPL Trakker CEO Rao Salman said at the signing ceremony that the renewed partnership will position the company as “pioneers” in developing and delivering cutting-edge, customised IoT solutions.
“This strategic alliance paves the way for innovation, efficiency, and seamless nationwide connectivity,” he said.
The PTCL renewal comes a month after TPL Trakker established a partnership with Veon-owned mobile operator Jazz. Under that deal, announced in December, Jazz will provide TPL Trakker with essential hardware components and connectivity options encompassing fixed, GSM, and satellite solutions.
TPL Trakker said the Jazz deal will boost its overall coverage, particularly in remote areas where GSM signals may be weak or intermittently unreliable.
