Intracom Telecom is set to reveal its latest innovation focusing on energy-efficient telco data centres at the upcoming MWC Barcelona event.
At the company’s stand 7B44 in hall 7, the Dynamic Datacentre Sizing (DDS), a pivotal feature of the NFV-RI platform designed to elevate the energy and resource efficiency in the telco data center, will be front & centre.
DDS marks a significant advancement in the quest for sustainable telecom infrastructures. It builds on the success of NFV-RI in enhancing energy efficiency across different parts of the telecom network, including the mobile core. What makes DDS special is its use of cutting-edge AI technologies to adjust resources utilization in real-time, based on predicted demand.
This happens in both on-premise and cloud-based Kubernetes deployments, leading to a substantial reduction in energy consumption and costs for telecom data centres. In real-world cases, DDS has proven its effectiveness in large-scale evaluations on two major cloud service providers, reducing costs by up to 30% without sacrificing service performance and stability.
Sotiris Bithas, Marketing Director of Intracom Telecom’s Software Solutions, stated: “As the telecommunications industry continues to evolve, the imperative for energy-efficient solutions becomes increasingly critical. NFV-RI’s DDS represents our commitment to pioneering sustainable innovations that drive operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.”
