Tadoom and China Telecom deploy cloud CCTV platform in Oman

Smart city solutions provider Tadoom announced on Sunday it has struck a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom to deploy an AI-powered, cloud-based CCTV open management platform in Oman.

"Tadoom Vision," described as an “operator-level visual network product”, was co-developed by Tadoom and China Telecom, based on China Telecom’s "More Vision" CCTV platform. The platform will be integrated into Oman's national cloud infrastructure.

Tadoom said that the CCTV platform is applicable to various scenarios and industries, but is focusing initially on home security and smart campus applications.

Tadoom Vision promises to enhance home security with 24-hour uninterrupted cloud storage, intelligent recognition for unauthorized intrusion, and one-click alarms for enhanced safety.

For smart campus use cases, Tadoom Vision manages on-campus personnel, provides access control with facial recognition, attendance checks, monitoring of strangers or vehicles, and issues alerts for potential security concerns. It includes intrusion alerts for areas like rooftops or lakes.

Tadoom said the CCTV solution is “powered by intelligent AI, offers ultra-clear image quality, cloud storage, flexible multi-terminal support, intelligent analysis, recognition capabilities, and a simple, open, stable, and secure system.”

Tadoom describes itself as a “pioneer in public–private partnerships and smart city projects in Oman,” with a portfolio of around 500,000 IoT devices and a national LoRaWan network.
