Mobilise commences Tier 5 MVNE licence services in Nigeria

As Nigeria’s MVNO sector gathers pace, software solutions provider Mobilise has launched Tier 5 MVNE services to cater to this burgeoning market segment.

There are over 200 million mobile users in Nigeria, with the market currently valued at US$9.09 billion and projected to reach US$11.43 billion by 2029. Last year, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) issued over 30 MVNO licences – a significant shake-up for the established players MTN, Airtel, Glo Mobile and 9mobile.

With this influx of MVNO players to Nigeria’s mobile sector, MVNE services are in high demand. Mobilise leverages its expertise and infrastructure to help MVNO players launch their own telecom services, with its HERO platform offering simplified integration for a faster and more effective time-to-market. The firm also helps MVNOs to implement eSIM technology to enhance their service offerings and customer experience.

Hamish White, director at Mobilise Communication, commented: “Mobilise has helped over 40 MVNOs launch services in ten markets, and we see a huge opportunity for MVNOs in the Nigerian market. This is an exciting time not only for Nigeria’s telecoms landscape, but also worldwide as this innovative model is essential to enabling mass digitalisation — something that the consumer market is increasingly demanding.”
