Ecuadorian ISP Alfanet partners Axiros for CPE management

Alfanet, a prominent internet service provider (ISP) in Ecuador that serves residential and commercial customers across the country, has chosen AXESS 5 ACS (Auto Configuration Server) software from device management solutions company Axiros.

Alfanet’s plan, says Axiros, is to elevate its network management capabilities and deliver an exceptional internet experience to its customers across the country.

Alfanet aims to streamline device provisioning, configuration and monitoring processes, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for its users.

Axiros specialises in offering device management software that enables seamless integration and management of devices and services, leveraging industry standards like TR-069 and USP. In this case, the Axiros AXESS 5 platform integrates orchestration of onboarding, provisioning, management, and monitoring with the ability to perform critical onboarding, provisioning, and orchestrated multiprotocol operations.

It allows state-of-the-art management of customer premises equipment (CPE) with Broadband Forum-compliant CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP) (TR-069), User Service Platform (USP) (TR-369), and other open management protocols.

With its intuitive interface and advanced features, AXESS enables the Ecuadorian ISP to efficiently manage a wide range of CPE, including modems, routers, and gateways, while providing real-time insights into network performance and health.

Mauricio Fernandez, MD Operations Axiros LATAM, explains: "By implementing AXESS 5, Alfanet can automate device provisioning, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting tasks, thereby reducing manual intervention and minimising downtime. Additionally, AXESS will enable Alfanet to proactively identify and address network issues, ensuring uninterrupted internet connectivity and optimal service quality for its clients.”
