Romanian operator group Digi Communications secured a three-year loan amounting €150 million to repay a €450 million bond due in 2025.
Local newspaper Bursa reported via SeeNews, the operator group bagged the loan from Dutch multinational bank ING , which had loaned Digi around €3 billion in the last 10 years.
“Funding is an important benchmark for Digi, and the attractive terms of the transaction highlight Digi’s high creditworthiness as well as their external shock-resistant business model,” said Andrei Dobre, ING Bank, Director of telecom, media and technology.
Digi is currently in the process of buying Telekom Romania from Greece-based OTE Group
