4iG chairman Gellért Jászai said: “We are eager to contribute to the North Macedonian telecommunications sector and drive positive change through technology. To outline our ambition to enter the North Macedonian telecommunications market, in the next few weeks we will start working with the government to formalise our commitment and detail this relationship further.”
4iG is Hungary’s second largest operator and expanded into the Western Balkans telecoms market through Montenegro and Albania, launching its One brand in those countries. The Hungarian operator noted its recent announcement of the construction of a high-capacity submarine data cable with Telecom Egypt to link Egypt and Albania, could bring benefits to North Macedonia.
