Telekom Malaysia (TM) deployed an AI-powered music platform that modulates voices, a move designed to develop the operator’s expertise in the rising technology.
In a statement, TM said the ‘Sejuta Suara, Satu Ritma, Jiwa Merdeka’ platform was designed to enable users to sing popular patriotic song Gemuruh Jiwa in a wide range of dialectics. It taps into AI to automate lip-syncing and voice cloning to emulate real singing.
The platform was created via collaboration between seven AI and API platforms. It is also powered by Credence TM’s cloud and digital solutions unit.
This was part of a campaign to celebrate Hari Kebangsaan (national independence day) and Hari Malaysia (formation of Malysia).
TM Group CEO Amar Huzaimi Md Deris said: “This campaign not only showcases the possibilities of AI but also reinforces our brand promise of ensuring that technology opens doors to a promising tomorrow for all. It is our dedication to making advanced technologies accessible to every Malaysian as we drive towards our aspiration of becoming a Digital Powerhouse by 2030.”
