Orange Business announced the completion of a connectivity project with healthcare company Grifols Egypt to improve the supply and delivery of medicine.
In a statement, Orange detailed that it will provide co-location services at a new data centre for Grifols Egypt for its Plasma Derivatives (GEPD) facility in the Medical City within the New Administrative Capital.
GEPD is a joint venture between Egypt’s National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) and Grifols, a global healthcare company.
GEPD Chief Strategy and Projects Officer Dr. Ahmed Serag said: “Grifols Egypt WAN will interconnect critical facilities, including a plasma laboratory, co-location data centre, plasma warehouse, 20 plasma donation centres, and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This comprehensive network infrastructure will ensure efficient operations and the timely delivery of plasma-derived medicines to patients in need.”
Kristof Symons, Orange Business CEO International added: “This ambitious project empowered by Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives should be an example of how private and government institutions are in the best position to enable fundamental changes for a country. Our technical skills, experienced resources, and global knowledge were pivotal in enabling Grifols to replicate its global business model in Egypt.”
