Record 5G Transport Capacity Achieved with New Intracom Telecom Radios

Interview with John Tenidis, Intracom Telecom Marketing Director Wireless Network Systems.

In readiness for 5G networks, fixed wireless access specialist Intracom Telecom announced two market leading solutions at MWC19 in Barcelona. Ultralink GX80 is a next-generation, all-outdoor 30 Gigabit e-band radio offering 30GB massive capacity on a 2 GHz carrier. WiBAS Micro BS is an all-outdoor point to multi-point Base Station operating in the 28 GHz area-licensed band. With 40+ years experience, Intracom Telecom is a market leader in fixed wireless access and successfully innovates in the 5G/4G wireless fronthaul, backhaul and small-cell SON backhaul international arena.

Ultralink GX80 is ideally suited for use by operators in demanding transport applications requiring fibre-like capacity and extended range. It can be easily and quickly deployed on rooftops or towers, taking-up minimal space and minimising power consumption per Gigabit. "Zero-touch" configuration through an integrated Bluetooth interface minimizes rollout time and safeguards against deployment errors.

With market leading ultra-compact size, WiBAS Micro BS provides massive 1GB per subscriber capacity for up to 90 subscribers, incorporating an on-board omni-directional antenna to increase coverage area while minimising installation cost and complexity.

Recorded at: MWC19, Barcelona, Spain.
